Dion Henry is the Pastor of Altamonte Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Prior to accepting the call to Florida Conference, he has served in Central-States Conference and Southeastern Conference. During his 25 year tenure in ministry, God has blessed his ministry to conduct evangelistic meetings and workshops throughout the country and internationally. He also was privileged to oversee a new church construction, purchased land and acquire a church building. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oakwood University and also a Master's of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Andrews University. His doctoral project dealt with stressors that impact young married couples age 18-40. He is a certified trainer in Prepare/Enrich and has trained several pastors and counselors on this tool to help couples strengthen their relationship. Throughout his ministry the Lord has allowed him to serve on several community organizations such as Vice-Chair of Samaritan’s Touch Health Care Center, President of Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, MLK Coordinator for NAACP, American Cancer Society Executive Board Member and others.
He is married to Dilyn Henry from New York City who is a Licensed Mental Counselor . Together they have done retreats and seminars nationally and internationally on relationship topics such as: planning for a strong family, parenting, stressors that impact marriages, sexual orientation, gender identity and others. They have been married for 23 years and have two children Hannah and Michael. The Henry’s motto is found in Matthew 6:33 which says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”
